Taylor Swift Mad Libs
This Mad Libs comes with two Taylor Swift themed games. The first is all about Taylor’s beginnings and how she made it as a star and the second is a fun mix up of some of her most well-known songs and will have you and your family laughing at your own song titles!
The best thing about Mad Libs is that it is great for kids of all ages and can be played as a family as well. If you haven’t played Mad Libs before, or if it’s been many ages since you have had the pleasure, here is a quick recap on how to play.
One person is in charge of the Mad Libs and asks the other person or the team for words. They may say something like “give me a verb” and then will write in whatever verb you give them.
Once all the blanks are full, the person in charge of that game will read it aloud to everyone. The fun is that every time you play the story will sound different depending on what words you choose!
You could also have each person fill in the blanks (without reading the story) and then take turns reading each one out loud.
Here are some more tips for playing:
-For younger children who may not be familiar with a verb, you can give them a few choices to pick from and then write down their pick. This may sound like “here are a few nouns to choose from- goat, pirate, ballerina. Which one do you want to choose” and continue on from there. After all the blanks are filled in, you can read it aloud to them and enjoy some laughs together.
-For older kids who might still be working on parts of speech, you could give them a reminder while filling in what each part of speech is, like “verb is an action word”. After you are done filling it in, you could read it aloud to them or they could read it aloud themselves.
-These would also be a fun game to play at a Taylor Swift themed birthday party! Have all the kids fill in their blanks individually or fill in one as a whole group and then read it aloud.
